About MI-LIFE Aspiring Leaders
The MI-LIFE Aspiring Leaders is a four day professional learning program for Lansing and Battle Creek teachers enrolled in the Lansing Aspiring Leadership Academy. The aspiring administrators will explore their school’s needs and culture using data, technology, and shared leadership skills.
The program includes fifty hours over the course of four months: four face-to-face courses (32 hours) with learner-directed intersession assignments (18 hours). Participants can earn 2 graduate credits from Michigan State University upon successful completion of the program.
The MI-LIFE Aspiring Leaders provides a curriculum that is based on continuous improvement and 21st century leadership skills. Participants will examine student performance related issues or concerns as well as assess the culture of their school.
Each participant will receive a 1 year subscription to an online survey application program and access to the Blackboard Online Course Management System. Use of both applications will be integrated into the curriculum and will be used in the participants’ intersession work.
