What if?
What if I have to miss a class?
The MI-LIFE program builds on each session, and it is essential that you are present and participate in each session. If you cannot attend a specific class due to an emergency, you should:
- Make every effort to attend the session at another location. Click here for the schedule.
- Notify Jan Kesel - jkesel@mi-life.org and/or call the MI-LIFE office at 517.694.7158 if you plan to attend at another location so materials and catering for you can be arranged.
- Notify your Project Team member in charge of oversight at your current location.
Remember that to obtain SBCEUs, University Credits and Endorsement, you must successfully complete the entire MI-LIFE Program.
Administrator Certificates
Individuals interested in applying for a school administrator certificate who previously have held an administrator certificate may obtain an application at www.michigan.gov/mde
Individuals who have completed an administrator preparation program but never held an administrator certificate should contact the higher education institution where the program was completed and request that the institution make a recommendation to the MDE for certification.
The MDE has identified four different categories of administrators potentially impacted by the 2006 legislation allowing the MDE to issue administrator certificates on a voluntary basis. Click here to read more information about these categories.
