Rule of Thumb
FREQUENTLY CHECK YOUR COHORT PARTICIPANT PAGE FOR ANY NOTICES! |
|

|
What do I do if I
have
to miss a class?
- Check the Schedule of courses for your Cohort which is located on the Cohort Participant Page for your group. Click the link in the appropriate box above to access your Cohort Participant Page.
-
Identify an alternate date/location where the same course is being conducted and that you can attend.
-
Contact Steve Hecker at stevehecker@gmail.com and make arrangements to attend at the alternate location.
|
How will I know if my
class is cancelled?
Cancellations may occur because of inclement weather conditions. In the event a class is cancelled, information will be available as follows:
- ISD site: Call your ISD to determine whether the building is closed. If the ISD where your group meets is closed, the class will be cancelled. If the ISD is not closed class will be conducted even if your individual district is closed!
- Web site: Notification will be posted on this web site on the Cohort Participant Page for your Cohort.
- Make-up sessions for cancelled classes will be arranged at the next scheduled class for your group.
- Room Changes: Occasionally, there is a need to change the room number for your scheduled class. This information will be posted on the individual Cohort Participant Page(s)

Administrator Certificates
Individuals interested in applying for a school administrator certificate who previously have held an administrator certificate may obtain an application at www.michigan.gov/mde
Individuals who have completed an administrator preparation program but never held an administrator certificate should contact the higher education institution where the program was completed and request that the institution make a recommendation to the MDE for certification.
The MDE has identified four different categories of administrators potentially impacted by the 2006 legislation allowing the MDE to issue administrator certificates on a voluntary basis. Click here to read more information about these categories.
